Hi, I'm Alexander Roy.

Storyteller. Builder of things people actually want to read, click, and understand.

I grew up in Southington, Connecticut, and I'm now finishing my degree in Journalism and Media Communication at Colorado State University, with a minor in Business.

I've spent the last two summers interning with Travelers Insurance Company on their Claim Legal and Staff Counsel team, where I got to work on everything from redesigning attorney bios to building an interactive map for their website. Outside of that, I've managed social media for the Colorado Motorcycle Expo, growing their online presence and connecting with a really passionate community of motorsports fans.

What ties all of this together for me is storytelling. Whether it's turning dense legal data into something people can actually understand, or building a campaign that gets an audience excited, I love figuring out how to make content that connects. I'm always looking for the next challenge, and I can't wait to bring that same energy into my career after graduation.

Interactive Office Map

During my internship with Travelers Insurance's Claim Legal and Staff Counsel team, I was tasked with building an interactive map for their external website, so clients and visitors would have an easy way to find office locations and information. What's shown below is a mock of that work. The live version is still in the process of being published to their site.

Attorney Bio Redesign

As part of my work with Travelers' Claim Legal and Staff Counsel team, I redesigned attorney bio pages to be clearer, more engaging, and more consistent with the firm's storytelling goals. Below is the redesigned template: the layout and system I built, shown with sample content. These are mockups that heavily inspired what will eventually be released to the public.
